Meet Steve-Creator and Owner of Ribbitt Toys
Yes, there’s a kid inside who still hasn’t grown up (just ask my wife!).
In a previous life, I toiled as a manufacturers’ rep in the toy and gift industry. Yes, it was a lonely job, but, hey, it was also a way to walk into the wonderland of toy stores. I saw toys that moved children to create in their precious, little minds: to build and to imagine.
Then, I had an epiphany!
I knew that I wanted to be a part of that magic.
(And, yes, I added a changing station to the restroom, just in case).
I wanted to create a toy haven, a place where every plaything is harmless, and every toy or game on the shelf sends imaginations to limitless galaxies.
I wanted to create an environment filled with knowledge and experitise, where every game has been played, and every toy has suffered a toddler’s meltdown (our lawyers call it due diligence). We test, we test, and we test, and, if we don’t like it, you won’t find it here. Feel free to ask any question and get a wisecrack from someone who truly understands the product. No one’s gonna tell you to look for it down aisle nine.
I love kids and I respect parents. My favorite part of every day is talking to you, getting to know what you want and helping you make the right decision.
I sell only toys that are Safe And Fun in my own daughter’s hands.

Wish Lists: Birthday Lists, New Baby Gifts, Christmas & Hanukkah: when your child has a birthday, you can register with Ribbitt! Just choose the toys and email us with your list. We’ll be armed and ready!! (and we gift wrap, too).
- Special Orders: If there’s something we don’t have that you want, don’t hesitate to ask; we’ll accommodate as best we can.
- Furniture: Whimsical rockers, tables for tykes, chair sets, and toy chests are all part of Ribbitt’s collection of well-built furniture designed to last a lifetime and take a good licking from a tot. Make your choice and we’ll put it together for you to bring home with no hassle.
- Quality Manufacturers: We purchase our toys and furniture from only the highest quality manufactures from around the world. Click on their site from the list to your left.
- Convenience: For heaven’s sake, we’re only twenty minutes from Downtown Norfolk and a half a mile from the sandy shores of Virginia Beach. So if you’re an old friend there’s no reason to miss us. If you’re visiting the Beach, it’s a short trip to buy the finest toys in Hampton Roads.
